Update: Is It Good?

As I said, it changed.

What is up with amateur reviewers? Everything is 10 or 0. The user review score is thanks to e-haters giving it a 0 and saying it's just more Modern Warfare, nothing new. What's wrong with that? I loved MW and the changes in MW2 make it so much better. The multiplayer classes have changed for the better. No longer will the first 100 hours of online play consist of being shot down with amazing guns. You finally get decent guns with attachments to start. Well done Infinity Ward!

The Evil Of Postboxes

Warning: I can't sleep. The following article may be written incredibly poorly. It may (somehow) be less coherent and relevant than usual. So I'll keep it short.

If only it was here. I have a problem. My postbox is not A4. Modern Warfare 2 Hardened Edition come with an A4 artbook. Due to the special delivery it cannot just be left with a neighbour. So I either have find someone to stay home today or hope it comes at a different time. Anytime before 9am, after 3.20pm or Wednesday would be great. Knowing my luck it will turn up 5 minutes after I leave. I'll keep you updated with my situation.

One quick note. After holding a GH5 party with Pixie Lott who didn't know you had to strum, Activision decided Guitar Hero still had to much credit. So to support the release of Band Hero they held a photo shoot with The Saturdays. By GH7 it will be advertised with Lady (debatable) Gaga. Activision need to pull themselves together, put some proper metal and rock back and advertise to the real gamers. The only add that ever hit the mark was Slash for GH3. Guitar Hero has seriously lost it's way. All I want is a REAL soundtrack, with solos not just constant rhythm. Stop aiming for the casual, tween  market and give me proper music.

One Day To Go, And You Still Don't Care

While talking to the Xbox owners in St David's, my fears were proved right. Most people who own an Xbox have only ever played two games. Halo 3 and Gears of War 2.
"You don't have Halo" is not even a real reason for owning the console. Halo is and will always be an over-rated, average shooter. So when I ask the Xbots (that's what they are called) what other exclusives they have I have only ever heard one reply. Forza 3. After that they cannot think of any other exclusive games. This is my point. 360 has two games that everyone plays and that's it. You'll be lucky to find an Xbot that likes Modern Warfare. PS3 has so much more variety when it comes to games. Here is just a quick list of exclusives that are worth playing that I can think of now.

Sorry to any Xbox owners who are not fanboys who may have been offended (Connor). BTW I'll lend you the £50 to upgrade your console choice if you need. You'll save it in the first year of online play : )

Wales vs Referee

South Africa was not the best choice. It's like choosing an English ref at a Scottish game. There were too many forward passes, bad tackles, offsides and professional fouls not noticed. I'm really disappointed. We played fairly well and only lost by one try, which came from forward passes and offsides. The amount of times our kickers were obstructed while chasing a kick was insane. Don't even get me started on Dan Carter. The crowd summed up my feelings. We were robbed.

How To Improve PS Home

Just a few quick ideas. Let me know what you think or if you have any ideas.

Driving

You could go with you mates to a go-karting centre or a virtual track day. It could be free due to advertising on track side or decals on cars.
Real Cinema

Imagine a film's out in the cinema and you can't make it. Buy a ticket and watch it at Home. But the films need to be in Home at the same time as the cinema, otherwise you could just buy the DVD.
Animated Decorations 

Such as a Transformer in your Home space. Interact and it changes from car to robot. Cool? Definitely.
Sports 

Bowling is alright. But wouldn't you prefer to go with your mates to play football, rugby, tennis, swimming? Just one thing needed. Private rooms, I don't want to have to share or wait for half an hour.
Transport

Skateboards, scooters and roller blades. Three ways to make moving in Home more entertaining.
Paintballing 

Paint your mates like rainbows in a forest. Would work equally well as a first or third person. A great laugh and exciting.
Music

You've got the tracks on the PS3. Why not use them? Carry a Walkman around and listen to your tracks when you want to.
Toys 

Toys for adults and kids to mess around with eg. remote controlled helicopters and cars.
Building 

With Home's new physics engine my sofa fort keeps falling over. Why not have a building tool similar to Sims? Build your own rooms and roofs. Sony could still sell other houses by increasing the plot size.
Day and Night

What is the point in lights if there is only day? Put night in the game and have late night events.
Art 

Let's face it, chairs and tables aren't interesting to look at. But imagine that when you complete a game you get a poster or object for it. Make you Home look good and show off your skills.

TV 

Same as the music. Share your movies with friends.
Wallpaper

Boring preset wallpaper is well... boring. Let me make custom wallpaper. Many ways to do this. Upload an image, an image creator similar to guitar hero (preset shapes) or go complete freedom (issues with censorship).
Proper Design

Let me make my house like Fallout 3. I don't want to have to pay £4 for a new house. Jut let me stick a M.I.R.V. by the door and gain instant respect. We need more decoration and less new houses.
Cool Areas 

Imagine a jungle where you get a map and compass. Lots of objects and villages are hidden in the jungle. It would be awesome to go exploring with friends.
Instruments 

You've bought the GH (or Rockband) games and tracks, so let's play them in Home. There could be a virtual jam space or private gigs to show your skills.
Sporting Events

Go to stadium, grab seat and watch a match. Simple concept? Imagine if it's linked to real video games. No need to wait until tomorrow to find out how you mate's doing. Go to the stadium and be a spectator in the crowd. This would involve a lot of work from Sony, but would give it a massive edge against XBL. Possible links EA Sports, 2K Sports or even Everybody's Golf : )

Warning: Viruses Infecting Gadgets

While watching The Gadget Show I noticed a problem. The gadgets must not have been working because they chose the Motorola Brick over the IPhone for the best phone ever. There is a virus inside the gadgets. Jon Bently.
I have no problem with him. He doesn't seem annoying or mean, but he doesn't quite fit. Every week we have ANOTHER article on photography. Try something else. The Wall Of Fame has had some poor judgements made as well. Wii best console? iPhone not best phone?
Take two weeks ago, the Robosapien is not as good as the Aibo. Robosapien is still going, has more features, more models, better design..... How can it come second? But I can't stop myself catching parts of it and wondering where it all went wrong. Recently they reviewed multi-tools AGAIN (they did them last series), A self parking car which Top Gear showed two years ago and MORE cameras!
I'll finish it here before I start a major rant. The Gadget Show has gone terribly wrong. I doubt they will find their way back. The only part of the show I like is Jason. As a Mac fan and a gamer, he is the only one holding the show up. If he goes it needs to be renamed The Stocking Filler Show, it's about all they review at the minute.

The Full F.N.G.

The original version of training had explosives and an obstacle course. They removed it from all the versions but it can be downloaded for PC and Mac users. Here is the video of the original course.
