Check out this new dev studio. Made up of caffiene fueled code monkeys. New app coming this week. Follow them on Twitter , Google+ and Facebook.
Here's our interview with Monster Monkeys coder Emyr.
So what's is the app your developing?
It's a quiz app for the Android operating system.
What kind of quiz is it?
It will be a multiple choice quiz with questions covering a wide range of questions.
So who are you aiming it at?
Mainly teenagers. Due to the fact that it will be played on Android smartphones, we can assume that most of out users will be fairly young.
When can we expect that to be released?
Within the next week. Keep an eye on our social pages.
Where can we download it?
We will have an official website up soon. It will be open for download from the webpage as soon as it's done.
One last question, why Monster Monkeys?
Partly inspired by the Jonathan Coulton song Code Monkey and partly beacause without Monster Energy I couldn't do the work I do.

Still Waiting
I cannot believe that LA Noire is still not here. I'm avoiding every article on the internet. It's now 3 days late. I'm feeling severely let down right now. Dirt 3 will probably turn up first.

Fetch Me My Rifle
It's been a long weekend. I am now trying to complete my Welsh Bacc (that's right complete). But I am coming across some problems. I have just one question, who formatted these booklets. I want to hunt them down and highlight their face. At random points across the documents, certain sections are highlighted, italic, bold, smaller, a different font, centre aligned, or all of the above. How do you format empty writing sections accidentally? So I have concluded, that due to the fact you would have to be missing you brain to do it accidentally, it must have been done on purpose. So fetch me my rifle, it's time to go hunting.

Bored, Bored, Bored...
I'm STILL waiting for LA Noire. Despite pre-ordering a month in advance, the game has still not arrived yet. Plus, Dirt 3 has yet to be dispatched. So not much chance of getting that on release either. I've got no choice but to wait. It's not as if getting it in store is any better, most stores still want a deposit and don't have pre-order bonuses and you still have to get there and hope they have stock.

Commemorate The Longest Holiday Ever
I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but on my old blog I posted a wallpaper commemorating the last PS3 down time. A strange fault with the clock code caused all old PS3s to not work for a day. Well, now the PSN is back online, I have created a new wallpaper. Feel free to click it for the full size wallpaper. Trust me, it looks better at full size.
Here's the old one if you're interested

A Salute To The Silent Stranger On The Street
I went to town today to get some new shoes. While walking back past JJB, I came across a pedestrian diversion. While work is being done, there is a narrowed lane to walk down. It is about wide enough for five people.
Well this is where my point begins. Walking the other way was a morbidly obese chav and her mates in a row. I was walking towards them behind a guy. The guy in front of me tucked as close to the side as he could to make it past the walking Adidas road block. As he passed them, the larger one swung her arms in an over extravagant fashion while telling some pathetic story. In the process, she slammed her oversized bag into the guy who was trying to pass.
Now what do you think is the appropriate response here? When I knock people, I tend to apologise. Apparently I am wrong about social convention. The chav started screaming violent obscenities. The guy just dipped his head and moved on. I know that if I was hit, I would have screamed back. So that's why I salute the silent stranger on the street, for extreme patience and staying calm; when I wouldn't.

Gimme A Break
UPDATE: Amazon have dispatched a replacement PS3 and upgraded the delivery to first class for free.
I still haven't found a repair shop yet. To make things worse, my new PS3 arrived today. I found it around the side of my house, thrown over a 7 ft fence, onto solid concrete. Safe to say, it's making a weird noise and now I have to wait for a replacement. What kind of courier service throws £200 equipment around like that?

Keeping You Up To Date
Just bought a 320Gb PS3 slim with free LBP2 for £230. Also picked up 3 year warranty for £45 and a Dualshock 3 for £27. Now I'm going to fix my old PS3, transfer the data and sell the old PS3, my 2 Sixaxis controllers and a brand new LBP2. Let me know if you're interested in any of these, or know where I can get the old PS3 repaired.

Spare Any Change
First PS3 £400
Replacement PS3 £150
Total £550
Both systems broke just outside warranty. I think I deserve a discout off a new model. Sony thinks otherwise. All they will offer me is another recon 60Gb (the models that broke in the first place). The reason I want a NEW system is they're more reliable. The support department will offer me a recon and no more. No discount, no repair, no help. So now I'm left with forking out for a 3rd party repair and a new system. Thanks for the help.

The Half-Assed Attempts of a Fake Hippy
As I write this, my house is currently descending into madness. Due to the ridiculous, fad-friendly nature of my sister, we are currently taking part in Earth Hour. I use italics for a reason explained later.
Earth Hour is a WWF creation (not the cool wrestling one). It is an event where you turn off all lights and non essential electrical appliances for an hour to help the environment. Unfortunately my sister heard of the event from a friend. Being simple, they thought it was only lights. I felt it was my duty to inform my sister of the actual conditions.
I stated that if Nia was going to make us all take part, we should do it properly. To sum up what happened, Nia refused, Mum shouted at me, Dad feels the same way as me and stayed quiet. So now Nia is watching TV by candlelight (taking part?) and Mum is chatting with her friends on the phone. I refuse to take part in this pathetic attempt at "making a difference". What am I doing? Well I'm using my laptop (as you probably guessed), playing music and leaving my light on.
How can someone who watches TV, reads Twitter, uses iPod speakers and downloads iPlayer shows at the same time gain satisfaction by turning off a light for an hour. It's this kind of pathetic stupidity that infuriates me. Do they really think they are making a difference? Sitting around the TV burning candles. Did you know that candles are worse for the environment than lights? Of course you did, it's burning wax!
Sure my methods may by immature. But in a Comedian style way, my reasons are just and my point is valid. Not that that makes a difference in the eyes of a half-assed fake hippy.

It's Been A Long Time
As I look at this picture today, I realise that it has been 5 years since I was given it as a birthday present. It has been on my wall for 5 YEARS! So it's about time a gave a massive thank you to Firdaus for a fantastic birthday present.

Two Face
I'll be honest. I'm writing this to get it off my chest. Sorry if it doesn't make sense, it makes me feel better to get it out.
What gives anyone the right to judge anyone else? It's not an easy question to answer. I find myself judging people when I am no better, I complain about things I shouldn't. I know this is wrong and I'm trying to work on it. But the one thing I know is it's wrong to be two faced.
Anyone who knows me knows that I have strong opinions and, for better or worse, I share them. Obviously, I hold back some things, but there is no way I will pretend to like people. There is nothing worse than a coward who lies about being mates. This is where it gets a bit personal. Long story short, a guy who I thought was a mate has been mouthing off about me to other people. He criticised my career, my hobbies, my goals in life. Basically he went all out. My only problem is what to do now. He's been avoiding me for days and I only found out about this today. I only see one way forward. Call him out on it. Either there's a good reason (unlikely) or he hates me. It's better for everyone if he mans up and admits it. He's no model human himself, but I like to know where I stand. The only problem is finding him in the first place. How do you find someone who's trying to hide?
